After high school, Trisha initially attended Saint Mary's University for two years, but then realized she wanted to pursue a career with animals. Trisha graduated from the Maritime Business College, Veterinary Technician course, in 2016.

Growing up, Trisha has always had animals in her life. She and her nan used to take care of the stray cats that would venture onto her dad's work property and even rescued a German Shepard that had porcupine quills in her nose. They were unable to find the owner, and so she was able to keep her and named her Lucky! Since then, Trisha has had many family pets and also enjoys the company of the pets in the homes of her family and friends. 

Outside of work, Trisha enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and walking with one of her family dogs, Mickey, reading, traveling, kayaking, and exploring. Trisha and her family also have a King Charles Cavalier Cockapoo mix named Harley and a Domestic longhaired Tortoiseshell named Millie Vanilli. Trisha’s dream one day would be to have a large property and be able to continue to rescue more animals. Now that she’s been in the veterinary industry for so long it's hard to imagine a day where she couldn't be or wasn't in the industry.
