Alycia grew up outside of Truro until high school where she finished grade school in Cape Breton. She started the Veterinary Technician program at the Dal AC., graduated in 2018 and has been working in busy General practices since then in both HRM, Elmsdale and Truro areas. She is very active outdoors with her almost 16-year-old Pomeranian, 9yo Husky and 3 cats. She is also a busy mother of 2 young kids with a house in the country. Alycia is an avid Soccer player, softball player and new gardener.  

Alycia joined the Maritime team in 2025, wanting to expand her skills, knowledge, and professional development in the ER after a few emergencies at her general practice sparked her interest in providing emergency care. 

Alycia’s favorite part of working in the ER is never knowing what you will see in a day and always learning something new, every single day! Alycia’s favorite part of any day is any Golden Retriever.
