Veterinary Assistant
Caitlin
Caitlin grew up on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, where it was instilled into her that animals were her passion. Growing up with a wide variety of animals, you couldn't help but build that bond with them-- from having goats, ducks, chickens, lizards, cats and dogs, it made it so easy. When moving to Truro in 2016 to pursue a degree related to animals, she then started volunteering at a veterinary clinic for years, which then had her soon working full-time while going to school in a clinic setting during covid times!
With that experience for a few years, and then moving to HRM near the beach with her mom, herd of wiener dogs + honorary wiener dog, aka a German Shepard, family of cats and two conures, exploring alternative medicine with Dr. Fisher, then this opportunity was given to expand into emergency medicine!
Outside of work, Caitlin is creative at heart. She enjoys crafting in many forms including crochet, cross stitch, quilting and all kinds of sewing. These hobbies help instill the calm and patience side, plus attention to detail! She enjoys doing these hobbies alongside her mother too.
