Emily is born and raised here in Dartmouth and after living in Truro and Bridgewater before moving back to Dartmouth to be closer to her family.

Emily has had an interest in animals since she was a child, starting with teaching tricks to her childhood cat Lucky. In her teens Emily and her mom fostered multiple dogs and litters of puppies through Marleys Hope Dog Rescue, leading her to pursue a Bachelors in Animal Science and Aquaculture at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.

Emily has worked at a small GP clinic for the last few years building up her experience and knowledge which has led her to pursue the vet tech program at Penn Foster. While completing this course, Emily was drawn to the surgery team as she has always had a special interest in the surgical side of veterinary medicine.

In her free time Emily enjoys video games, playing the One Piece card game, knitting, and watching a good nature documentary. She has a full house of critters including her kitties Poppy AKA The Nugget, Holly AKA The Void, and her Bearded Dragons Maleficent and Radagon.
