Gillian is originally from Newfoundland and moved to Dartmouth when her family was posted here from the military. She lives in her Dartmouth apartment with her year-old St. Bernard/Bernese Mountain dog mix, Wallen.

Having a passion for animals from a very young age, Gillian attended Maritime Business College to obtain her Veterinary Assistant diploma in April of 2021. She even had a job at an animal hospital before graduating, and she had a dream of continuing to work in the veterinary field with a special interest in exotics and pharmacology. She worked at a general practice hospital for 3 years before now moving onto the emergency side of veterinary medicine.

When Gillian is not at work, she is often found anywhere hiking, paddle boarding, playing volleyball, on the couch with a good book or binge-watching TV with her mini horse.
