Kaitlyn grew up in a rural community in Nova Scotia surrounding herself with the company of several animals. From an early age she knew she would pursue a career in the veterinary field. 

Kaitlyn graduated as a veterinary technician from Dalhousie Agriculture Campus in 2017, and since then she has spent time in both general practice and emergency medicine. It was in 2020 that Kaitlyn found her true passion in the field of emergency medicine. She finds the most rewarding cases are the ones where she is able to watch patients who have had long hospital stays improve & get to go home. 

Kaitlyn and her husband, Dan, live in the rural community Kaitlyn grew up in with their home and hearts full of dogs, cats, and horses.
