Dr. Katie O'Hanley grew up in New Brunswick where her interest in veterinary medicine was sparked through her involvement with horses. From the time she could walk she has also been in the saddle. Upon graduating from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2016, she completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery in Calgary, and practiced as an equine veterinarian for 2 years. Feeling the need for a change, she turned her career towards companion animal practice where she began working in both general practice and emergency settings. Dr. Katie moved to New York City in 2020 where she truly discovered her passion for emergency medicine and has been involved in the field ever since. Dr. Katie loves surgery, being able to help people and their pets in times of stress, and is eager to be part of a much-needed team to support the community. 

When she is not working, Dr. Katie can be found hiking with her two pitbull mixes (Stella and Doug), snowboarding, or at the barn with the horses. She and her partner also love to travel the world as much as possible and aim to visit a new country on every trip.
