Veterinary Assistant
Kaytee
Kaytee lives in Cole Harbour with her husband Shane. They have 2 Himalayans named Aria and Tayo, a senior deaf Pitbull named Bronx, and a Boston Terrier puppy named Frankie. When Kaytee is not at work she likes to spend her downtime in her craft room, tending to her several plants, or exploring the outdoors with her husband and dogs.
Kaytee discovered her love for veterinary medicine back in 2012 when her soul dog Brooklyn was hit by a car and developed nerve damage in her left front leg. She admired how compassionate the emergency team was during one of the worst nights of her life. That whole experience made her consider a career with animals. It was during Brooklyn’s recovery that Kaytee decided to start her journey into Veterinary Medicine. She obtained her Veterinary Assistant Diploma and graduated with honors.
Kaytee’s favorite part of being an assistant is being there for pets and their people during their time of need.
Now, with over a decade of experience, Kaytee decided to leave general practice to explore emergency and specialty medicine and she couldn’t be more excited for the change.
