Karie graduated from Oulton College in 2018 with a Veterinary Assistant diploma. She worked in general practice for 4 years, 2 of which were spent as an orthopedic surgical assistant before transitioning to emergency medicine. Karie has always had a love for animals growing up which led her to the veterinary industry. She strongly believes that preventative medicine and client education play a big role in the health of pets. 

When not in the clinic, Karie’s time is generally spent outdoors with her 3-year-old Miniature Dachshund named Mako, hiking or camping, spending time with friends and family, playing organized sports, or traveling.
